Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician. Experience working in substance/behavioral treatment center required. Reports to the Director or Pharmacy

What You'll Do

• Orders and received medication from appropriate source and conducts inventory of controlled substances
• Reports all variances as required by state and federal regulations
• Prepares accurately medication doses for patients in levels and dosage amounts as prescribed
• Keeps adequate control over requesting and dispensing of all drugs and pharmaceutical supplies
• Reviews and interprets the prescription of inpatient and outpatient using computerized patient profiles to ensure the appropriateness of dosage and to determine the significance of potential drug-drug interactions
• Contacts and confers with healthcare provides concerting the appropriate drug, dose, interval, drug allergy and drug-drug interaction
• Fills automated dispensing machines and accurately prepares and dispenses appropriate amount of inpatient and outpatient medication.

What You Need

• High School diploma or GED required
• Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Experience working in substance/behavioral treatment center preferred
• Current CPR Certification preferred
• Proof of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training or must be obtained
