Job Description
Interventional Radiologist/General Radiologist – suburban Minneapolis, MN
Park Nicollet is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join our well-established and growing Radiology department. The position includes 75% to 100 % IR with opportunity to participate in reading general radiology studies based on training of the individual and needs of the group.
Candidates must be IR residency or IR fellowship trained with board or CAQ certification. Ideal candidates would be interested in expanding the practice and interested in future leadership opportunities.
Currently, the practice is covered by six CAQ certified interventional radiologists, splitting time between IR and general radiology. Several physician assistants also help staff the practice. The IR practice is hospital based, well established and growing.
The caseload is diverse, covering a broad spectrum of procedures including vascular procedures.
Call would be 1 in 6 and 100% interventional radiology with minimal on-call general radiology responsibilities. The position can include time in general radiology reading CT, US, MRI and plain films at Park Nicollet imaging centers and Methodist hospital.
The Radiology Department consists of 44 physicians and 4 physician assistants, providing coverage to both outpatient and inpatient sites. The practice has subspecialty emphasis in interventional radiology, neuroradiology, musculosketetal radiology and breast imaging.
The interventional radiology department at Methodist Hospital includes two dedicated IR suites (Siemens Artis Zeego installed 2017 and a Phillips Allura system) as well as an additional biplane Phillips Allura system shared with neurointerventional radiology. A new Siemens Pheno hybrid OR suite has also been installed.
The group benefits from the integration of a multispecialty clinic that has a stable referral population. Salary, benefits and are very competitive.
