Job description
At New Story Schools, we serve students ages 5–21 with autism and emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Guided by individualized learning, therapeutic integration, and collaboration, we empower students to grow and prepare for meaningful adult lives. As a Speech Language Pathologist at New Story Schools, you’ll empower students to find their voice, build communication skills, and gain confidence. You’ll work closely with educators, families, and therapists to deliver individualized speech and language support that helps each student reach their full potential.
What You’ll Need
Master’s degree from an accredited academic program in Speech-Language Pathology
Active ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
Experience working in a school or clinical setting with students who have special needs
Knowledge of Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development and implementation
Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
What You’ll Do
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that align with IEP goals
Partner with multidisciplinary teams and families to deliver targeted speech-language therapy
Monitor progress, adjust plans, and maintain clear documentation of student growth
Create and evaluate IEP goals and provide data-driven updates for ongoing support
Use behavior management and engagement strategies to create a positive learning environment
