Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Pharmacist reviews and processes prior authorization requests using clinical judgment and medical policy to ensure appropriate drug therapy for health plan members. They also provide clinical guidance to pharmacy technicians and support the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee by reviewing guideline criteria.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or advanced degree and possess a current state pharmacy license. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field is required.
