Job Description
The Clinical Pharmacist ensures the safe and effective use of medications by
assessing for optimal drug selection, dosing regimen, and drug therapy
monitoring services across the health system. The position will evaluate patient
specific care plans and resolve medication related issues with the goal of
optimizing pharmaceutical care. The Clinical Pharmacist position requires an
understanding of the various work functions and activities associated with drug
distribution, intravenous admixture services (compounded sterile products),
pharmacy automation and the provision of drug information to the Medical,
Nursing and Ancillary staffs, and the community in keeping with TJC, Department
of Health and Senior Services, DEA/BNDD and Board of Pharmacy laws, rules and
regulations.

The Clinical Pharmacist ensures the safe and effective use of medications by assessing drug therapy and optimizing patient care plans. They are responsible for drug distribution, sterile compounding, and providing drug information to medical staff and the community.
Requirements
Candidates must be able to accurately input medication data, perform complex dosage calculations, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. The role requires physical mobility for department tasks and the ability to handle hazardous drugs and chemotherapy.
