This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health and substance use disorders, with the aim of improving patients' overall well-being and helping them achieve their personal recovery goals. The Therapist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care and support. This is an evening position with hours and days to be discussed during the interview process.
## Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their mental health and substance use treatment needs. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient. - Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions. - Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate patient care. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. - Educate patients and their families about mental health and substance use disorders, treatment options, and coping strategies. - Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices in therapy and mental health care. - Contribute to the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures related to therapeutic services. - Provide crisis intervention and support as needed to ensure patient safety and well-being.
