Physicians see a variety of cases from trauma to illness and patients ranging
from pediatric to geriatric. Local trauma surgeons provide good support, and the
nursing staff is very strong and experienced. Qualifications include board
certified/prepared in emergency medicine or board certified/eligible in a
primary care specialty with emergency medicine experience.

City Description

Riverton is a neat little town located southeast of the Teton Wilderness area
just east of the continental divide. Located at an elevation of 4,956 feet and
surrounded by the Owl Creek and Wind River mountain ranges, Riverton is a
progressive city that offers ample clean air, majestic scenes and world class
outdoor recreation. For centuries, people have chosen the Wind River Valley as a
place to come together. It started with the Native Americans who felt it was a
special place, and that tradition continues today with a strong sense of civic
pride, a friendly community and amazing quality of life. Festivals are held
throughout the year in Riverton. The annual 1838 Mountain Man Rendezvous
features a weeklong re-creation of a trapper's and trader's encampment with
games of skill, food, dancing and entertainment. The Riverton Rendezvous, a
weeklong event held during the second and third weeks of July, celebrates the
city's founding in 1906 with a hot-air balloon rally, Arts in the Park, street
dances, the Rocky Mountain Car and Bike Show, and a WRA rodeo. The Wild West
Winter Carnival, held each February, offers ice sculpting, casino nights, and
tethered balloon rides.
