Job Description

SportsMed is fortunate to be one of the fastest growing multidisciplinary practices in New Jersey. The services we offer our patients are: Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Occupational Hand Therapy, & Acupuncture. We treat a diverse variety of patients that includes sports-related injuries, weekend warriors, post-surgical, elderly, desk workers, and much more.

The Occupational Therapist organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation. This person directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. The Occupational Therapist facilitates the learning of those skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity, in order to diminish or correct pathology.

Responsibilities

  • Treat a variety of hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder injuries and post-op
  • Perform initial evaluations, establish recovery goals, and develop plans of care based on findings
  • Document all evaluations and treatments
  • Educate patients and appropriate parties on evaluations and treatment plans
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, SportsMed providers, and other team members.

Requirements

  • New Jersey Occupational Therapy License
  • New Grads and Experienced Occupational Therapists are Welcome!
  • Computer Literacy
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
