Job Description

The Registered Dental Hygienist provides comprehensive preventive and oral hygiene services to patients of the health center. This position supports overall oral health through patient education, preventive care, periodontal maintenance, and collaboration with the dental care team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventive services
  • Perform oral health assessments, charting, and diagnostic support
  • Assist with restorative procedures and chairside duties
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and preventive care
  • Maintain infection control and aseptic techniques
  • Document patient information in electronic dental records
  • Follow HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
  • Support overall clinic workflow and patient experience

Qualifications

  • A current North Dakota Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license is required
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, documentation, and electronic health records
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • A friendly, professional, and patient-centered approach
  • A commitment to providing quality patient care and contributing to a supportive team environment
