Work Shift Job Description Position Overview: Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team at the Windy Hill location. This is a full-time position where you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• ptoms. Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services as needed, including risk assessment and management of patients with suicidal or homicidal ideation. Consultation: Offer psychiatric consultations to other medical professionals within the Wellstar system, providing expertise on complex cases. Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in psychiatry by participating in continuing education, attending relevant conferences, and engaging in peer consultations. Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as Wellstar policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Training: Completed residency in Psychiatry from an accredited program. Licensure: Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Georgia. Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry. Experience: Prior experience in outpatient psychiatric care is preferred but not required. Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in using electronic medical records (Epic experience preferred).
