Your work will focus on assessing patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs to develop personalized rehabilitation plans that promote independence and enhance quality of life.

You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, physicians, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care. This role demands a compassionate approach to support patients with conditions such as cerebral palsy, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and orthopedic challenges.

Ultimately, your efforts will empower patients to overcome barriers and achieve meaningful functional outcomes in their everyday environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting rehabilitation goals for conditions such as stroke, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic injuries.
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques including sensory integration and physical therapy modalities to enhance patient recovery.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as necessary to optimize functional outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to coordinate care and provide education on adaptive strategies and equipment.
  • Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with advances in occupational therapy practices and rehabilitation technologies.

The required skills in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and rehabilitation are applied daily to evaluate patient needs and design effective treatment plans that address both physical and cognitive challenges.

Expertise in geriatric rehabilitation and cerebral palsy allows for tailored interventions that improve patient independence and quality of life. Knowledge of sensory integration techniques is essential for managing patients with neurological impairments such as traumatic brain injury and stroke.

Orthopedic rehabilitation skills enable the therapist to support recovery from musculoskeletal injuries through targeted therapeutic exercises. These skills, combined with strong communication and collaboration abilities, ensure comprehensive patient care and successful rehabilitation outcomes.
