Key Responsibilities

  • Completes full biopsychosocial evaluations on patients in the Department of Psychiatry outpatient program with a primary focus on geriatric patients.
  • Provides consultation regarding patient's background, psycho-social functioning and needs to medical and support staff, in order to assist in planning a comprehensive care program for the patient.
  • This may involve case management, referral to protective agencies, and obtaining resources for those patients who require a higher level of care in the community.
  • Develops treatment plans and initiates clinical intervention, utilizing individual and group treatment modalities, and analyzes course and results of treatment.
