Key Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner provides medical care to inmates in a correctional facility, including responding to emergencies and prescribing treatments under physician supervision. They are also responsible for documenting patient encounters and educating staff and patients on health-related matters.
Requirements
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and hold current state licensure. While correctional experience is desired, the role requires the ability to work effectively within a secure, clinical environment.
