Nurse Educator and Infection Preventionist

Christ's Home is looking for a Nurse Educator & Infection Preventionist to join our Nursing Administration team. This unique leadership position gives you the opportunity to make an impact across our nursing team through education, professional development, clinical competency, and infection prevention.

What You'll Do

• Develop & Inspire Our Nursing Team
• You'll help our nurses and nursing assistants continue to grow by:
• Creating and coordinating meaningful educational programs
• Leading annual skills education and required training
• Supporting orientation and competency development for newly hired nursing staff
• Identifying learning needs and developing opportunities for professional growth
• Coordinating CPR training

Providing hands-on education involving IVs, PICC lines, wound vacs, CPAP/BiPAP, new equipment, and clinical procedures

• Supporting PointClickCare training
• Lead Infection Prevention
• You'll play an important role in protecting residents and staff by:
• Leading our Infection Prevention and Control Plan
• Conducting infection surveillance and outbreak investigations
• Supporting antibiotic stewardship
• Coordinating resident and staff vaccination programs
• Monitoring infection-control data and reporting
• Helping develop infection prevention policies and procedures
• Providing infection prevention education
• Participating in Quality Assurance and coordinating Infection Prevention and Control Committee meetings
• Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who is approachable, organized, resourceful, professional, and passionate about developing others. You'll need strong communication, teaching, problem-solving, time-management, and computer skills, along with solid knowledge of professional nursing practice and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license
• BSN required
• 5+ years of professional nursing experience in a hospital or long-term care clinical setting
• Infection prevention and control experience
• Training or facilitation experience is preferred, but not required

Infection Preventionist must be qualified for the role through education, training, certification, or experience
