Job Description

We are currently seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Physical Therapy Aide or Technician to join our outpatient clinic! This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that promotes long-term growth in the healthcare field. 

Responsibilities

* Assist in and perform patient transfers and lifts using proper body mechanics, according to standard techniques.

* Assist the therapist in evaluations/treatments at the bedside and the rehabilitation gym (i. e., exercises, mat activities, orthosis fabrication, modality preparation).

* Report treatment activities, patient progress, and any unusual response to treatment or incident to the therapist.

* Maintain a neat/tidy appearance in all areas of the department, returning equipment/ supplies to designated areas

* Regularly sanitize exercise equipment, mats, and assistive devices according to hospital safety and infection control standards.

* Evaluate and distribute linen supplies, changing linens on treatment tables according to procedures

* Maintain medical supplies in all treatment areas

* Sustain organization in the closets regularly

* Sweep soiled utility and equipment rooms at least twice weekly for therapy equipment

* Assist in department communication processes-answer telephones, transit messages from nursing service to the therapist, communicate between therapists, etc.

* Assist the therapist with delivery, set-up, and clean-up of the treatment area (i. e., patient room, rehab gym, etc.) for patient care delivery

Qualifications

* Must be Bilingual in Spanish

* This position is full-time: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM (Please ensure you are available full-time before applying)

* High School diploma or equivalent

* Strong customer service and telephone skills

* Good Computer skills with MS Office (MS Excel and Word)

* Experience as a Physical Therapy Aide in Outpatient settings is preferred but not required
