Job Description
Orthodontist: $1,500/Day + $100 per Start, Travel to Reno or Relocate
Reno, NV (recruiting from Sacramento and Northern California) | Part-Time, 1–2 Days per Week | 1099 | Partial Relocation Assistance
Live in Northern California? You don't have to move. Ready for Reno? You'll get help with the move. A confidential, 100% dentist-owned group is growing an orthodontic program in Reno around a busy pediatric referral engine, and it's flexible about how you join: travel in for concentrated clinical days, or relocate and grow with the program.
Two Ways to Join
Travel in 1–2 days per week: Keep your home and practice in Sacramento, Northern California, Lake Tahoe or another nearby market. The schedule is built around your availability so every day in Reno is productive. It's a strong fit if you practice elsewhere part of the week, want to add a high-value market, or want to test Reno before any move.
Relocate to Reno: Make Northern Nevada home with partial relocation assistance, and grow with the program toward about 4+ clinical days per week as demand expands.
- The work
- Orthodontic screenings, early intervention and comprehensive consults
- New starts, sibling and family referrals and long-term patient relationships
- Diagnosis, treatment planning, case acceptance and excellent clinical care, with the organization helping build your schedule
Where Your Patients Come From
An expanding pediatric dentistry program in Reno feeds internal screenings, with direct collaboration with pediatric dentists, plus referrals from the general dentistry network. Families are already receiving care inside the organization.
The Practice
- 100% dentist-owned: no private equity, no outside investors controlling clinical decisions
- Provider-focused leadership, clinical autonomy and collaborative decision-making
- Experienced clinical support, digital workflows, established scheduling, treatment coordination and patient communication systems
- Regional growth
- Core Reno orthodontic schedule
- About 2 satellite days per month in South Reno
- Potential future 1–2 days per month in South Lake Tahoe
- More specialty days as the networks expand
What You Need
- DDS or DMD and an accredited orthodontic residency
- An active Nevada license, or the ability to obtain one (applicants eligible for licensure are encouraged)
- Strong patient and parent communication and a collaborative approach with pediatric and general dentists
- Ability to travel consistently to Reno, or willingness to relocate
Compensation
- $1,500 guaranteed per clinical day
- Plus $100 for every new orthodontic start
- 1099 independent contractor
- Partial relocation assistance for orthodontists moving to Reno
Why Reno
Reno-Tahoe International Airport, easy access from Northern California, no Nevada state income tax, Lake Tahoe about an hour away and four seasons of skiing, hiking, biking, boating and golf, in a growing market with less specialist saturation. We'd especially like to hear from orthodontists in Sacramento, the Bay Area, Central California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Idaho and across the West.
How to Be Considered
Apply confidentially with your CV and tell us whether you'd travel in or relocate, where you're based and your Nevada license status.
This is a confidential search. The practice name is shared after a brief screen, so please do not contact the practice directly.
