Respiratory Therapist

Key Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist evaluates, treats, and documents care for residents with impaired respiratory function, including those requiring tracheotomy or ventilator support. They also manage the Respiratory Department's operations in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Respiratory Program and hold a valid Illinois state license. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist is required, along with knowledge of MDS and care planning processes.
