The CRNA provides safe and effective anesthesia to patients in OR, procedure, or MRI settings under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. They also participate in pre and postoperative patient management, emergency airway response, and the clinical education of students.
Requirements
Candidates must be graduates of an approved nurse anesthesia program and hold current NBCRNA certification. A valid Registered Nurse license in New York or a compact state is also required.
