Overview

We are seeking a Senior Biller to join our team! Billing Leadership is responsible for the day-to-day billing operations, reimbursement functions, and financial reporting, assisting the leadership with contract negations and coding adjustments in the EMR for the billing department. She or he needs to coordinate services and streamline billing with the CT billing team, Providers, Parallax leadership and staff.

The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and is comfortable spending much of the day on the phone.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Biller to join our team! As a Medical Biller, you will be working closely with clients to answer questions related to billing, processing all forms needed for insurance billing purposes, and collecting necessary documentation from clients.

You will also assist other Medical Billers with follow-up inquiries to clients, communicate with physicians' offices and hospitals to obtain records, and accurately record patient information.

The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and is comfortable spending much of the day on the phone.

Responsibilities

Check Eligibility and VOB for Client

• Manage the copay and deductible collections Manage and monitor timely submission of claims, payment posting and denials/appeals.
• Que and submit all 822 and 816 billings for weekly RCM.

Verify and train the support staff on maintaining the weekly service sheets (all parameters) and ensure that insurance reconciliation occurs on 1st and 15th of each month.

Ensures that net, gross collections, accounts receivables, edits and rejections are monitored and addressed daily (only submitted for billing on Wednesday morning at 10am)

Electronic charge posting including demographic and insurance entry Payment posting of insurance and patient payments

• Actively work and research claim denials and contacting payers for timely payment resolution
• Work accounts receivable and file claims appeals.
• Answer phones and assist patients with their billing concerns.

Develop and implement goals, policies, procedures, and guidelines, which ensure the billing department is working efficiently and maximizing reimbursement.

Monitor the effectiveness of activities to ensure authorizations, billings, postings, collections, accounts receivable and write-offs stay within established ranges.

Report, review, maintain, and analyze all insurance reports by tracking and monitoring codes, payments, denials, and refund processes to meet compliance and performance standards.

Must be well versed with ICD-10, navigating all appropriate Insurance websites. Comply with all applicable federal, state and local regulations.

• Communicate areas of concern with regards to client issues, payer issues, denials, etc to manager.23.
• Other tasks as required by management, which includes covering the front desk
