Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (Full-Time Exempt)

DEPARTMENT: Family Health Center

SHIFT:  8 Hour Shifts (Exempt - 5 days/week)

Position Summary

THE CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER SHALL WORK COLLABORATIVELY WITH ALL MEMBERS OF THE HEALTH CARE TEAM TO PROVIDE EVALUATION AND MANAGEMENT FOR PATIENTS WITH BEHAVIORAL/MENTAL/SOCIAL NEEDS. THIS POSITION WILL HELP SERVE A SPECTRUM OF MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS THROUGH VARIOUS PROGRAMS TARGETING POPULATIONS OF ALL AGES.

Essential Duties

• Provide direct care to patients through ongoing behavioral assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Enhance the quality of patient management and satisfaction through support and collaboration with various internal and external programs/organizations.
• All other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education (Or Substitute Experience) Required

• Licensed in the State of California as Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
• BLS Certification within 3 months of hire

Education Preferred

• 5150 certification

Minimum Experience Required

• Must be credential to practice within scope at Bear Valley Community Healthcare District

Experience Preferred

• One-year experience working in an outpatient clinic preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR system or ability to learn and use the district Electronic Medical Record system

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to use communication skills to enhance learning through motivation, associations and repetition.
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.

• Must have the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other members of the health care team.
• Must be able to withstand stressful situations.
• Critical thinking skills
• Good clinical understanding of adult mental health, diagnosis in the DSM IV-TR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
• Bilingual preferred
