Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The incumbent has 24/7 clinical, staffing and financial management responsibility for clinical social work across the health care continuum, including the inpatient units and ambulatory settings. The incumbent provides direction, leadership, planning, organizational and general management for the clinical social work program.

Required Qualifications

Previous Supervisory or Lead Experience

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Must demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with staff and senior management
• Minimum 5 years of clinical social work experience in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of Title 22, Joint Commission, CMA, and CDPH regulatory and compliance requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Effective analytical and problem solving skills for problem identification and resolution
• Demonstrated computer skills to utilize MS Office programs including Access and Outlook
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and effectively manage conflict
• Demonstrated ability to create high-performing, interdisciplinary team
• Current CA Clinical Social Work license
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, as well as internal and external stakeholders at all level across the health system

Ability to communicate across all levels of staff and management

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
