Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are responsible for completing medical histories and physical examinations to provide patient care according to the established medical plan of care and within their scope of practice. Responsibilities also include documenting all medical information in the EHR system and ensuring all required training and licensure requirements are maintained.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited program (Advanced Nursing or PA) and hold current, active licensure for South Carolina. Physician Assistants must also be certified by the NCCPA and possess significant practice experience in a private or institutional setting.
