Key Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides medical care and responds to emergencies within a correctional facility. They work under the supervision of a physician to document patient health, prescribe treatments, and educate staff and inmates.
Requirements
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited NP or PA program and hold current licensure in the state of Michigan. Experience in a correctional setting is desired but not strictly required.
