Job description
Join Parallel as a School Social Worker in Remote - Nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide critical direct and indirect social work services to children and their families, addressing their unique psychosocial and emotional needs.
- Collaborate across school or IEP teams to develop comprehensive, tailored treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that incorporate measurable social work goals.
- Serve as a systemic expert by offering staff critical insights into the cultural, familial, and societal factors that influence student behavior, academic performance, and overall well-being.
- Lead mental health and behavioral interventions by designing and implementing positive behavioral intervention strategies and performing comprehensive mental health evaluations.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of full-time, on-site school social work experience (internships excluded).
- Demonstrated proficiency in all National SSW Practice Model domains.
- Expertise in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) frameworks, counseling, and psycho-educational evaluations.
- Technical & Communication Skills Strong communication skills, specifically tailored for engaging with diverse student populations, families, and school staff.
Work Schedule
- Part-Time position.
- Remote position - work from anywhere.
Work with Parallel in Remote - Nationwide.
Licensure & Certifications
Requires an active LCSW license, a valid K-12 school practice certificate, and at least one year of full-time on-site school social work experience. Candidates must be tech-savvy and available during traditional school hours.
