About the Role

* Provide individualized nutrition care and counseling to cardiac patients
based on established clinical standards and best practices.
* Assess nutritional needs and develop, implement, and re-evaluate personalized
nutrition care plans.
* Help patients make sustainable lifestyle and behavior changes related to
nutrition, weight management, diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorders, and
cardiovascular health.
* Educate patients and families on healthy eating, dietary modifications,
nutrition supplements, and other strategies that support better health
outcomes.
* Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and community
resources to provide coordinated, whole-person care.

What Makes You a Great Match

* Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Food and Nutrition, or
a related field from an accredited college or university.
* Registered Dietitian credential and current Louisiana licensure.
* BLS certification required within 30 days of employment and before providing
direct patient care.
* At least one year of clinical dietetics experience, particularly with lipid
disorders, obesity, diabetes, and hypertension; 3–5 years preferred.
* Master's degree preferred.
* Strong communication and counseling skills with the ability to connect with
patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
* Independent, organized, compassionate, and comfortable working as part of a
multidisciplinary healthcare team.
