Key Responsibilities
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and the formulation of treatment plans. They are responsible for prescribing medications, ordering diagnostics, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in compliance with JCAHO and BHA standards.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master of Science in Nursing or a PA certificate with a psychiatric emphasis, along with a valid Colorado license and registration with DORA. A minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric mental health is required, with preference given to those with residential and detox experience.
