Key Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health Specialist will provide mental health support and clinical services to detainees, which includes conducting screenings, assessments, and developing tailored treatment plans. This role also requires responding to mental health emergencies, participating in suicide prevention protocols, and collaborating with facility teams to ensure psychological well-being and safety.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling) and be licensed or license-eligible in the state of employment, along with a minimum of two years of behavioral health experience, preferably in correctional settings. Successful applicants must pass a federal background check and be capable of working effectively in a high-stress, secure detention environment.
