Description
Anesthesiologist (1099/IC) position at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center located
in Fayetteville, NC, part of Cape Fear Valley Health System, which serves
communities throughout southeastern North Carolina. The private, nonprofit
healthcare system is North Carolina’s eighth-largest health network. Facilities
include Betsy Johnson Hospital, Bladen County Hospital, Central Harnett
Hospital, Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital, and Hoke Hospital. The system
also encompasses Behavioral Health Services of Cape Fear Valley, the Cape Fear
Valley Rehabilitation Center, and several medical clinics and offices in the
region. Annually, it serves approximately 1 million patients. Our
anesthesiologists and CRNAs work in an anesthesia care team model approach. This
care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while
supporting, respecting, and helping to deliver care excellence.

Responsibilities
- Case assignments: Cardiac, pediatrics, OB-GYN, general, plastics, urology,
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
- M. D./D. O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMG and FLEX
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
- Currently licensed as a physician
- Must provide Articles of Incorporation for either an "S" Corp or "C" Corp
- Must provide own malpractice insurance coverage for full State Limits
Hourly Rate: $320/hour
