Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill is seeking a relief veterinarian for a consistent, ongoing Saturday schedule in Brooklyn, NY. This is an ideal opportunity for a doctor already working elsewhere who is looking to add 1 day per week on a consistent basis, a veterinarian seeking dependable supplemental income, or someone who prefers ongoing relief work in a structured setting without being locked into a contract.

Details
- Compensation: $1,500/shift
- Schedule: Saturdays, 3 to 4 per month
- Shift: 9AM – 5PM, 30-minute paid lunch break
- No contract required
You’ll be supported by a strong, experienced team of LVTs, assistants, and CSRs. This role is best suited for a doctor who is confident working independently and comfortable functioning as a solo practitioner in the hospital during their shift.

Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill provides personalized, high-quality care with a calm, collaborative approach for pets and their families. The full-service hospital offers wellness and preventive care, urgent care, dentistry, surgery, advanced diagnostics, and select holistic therapies.
The clinic is equipped with ultrasound, digital and dental X-rays, in-house diagnostics, therapeutic laser, EKG, echocardiogram, cryotherapy, and EZ Vet practice management software. The team is exceptionally skilled, cohesive, and efficient, creating a well-supported environment that allows doctors to focus fully on medicine and client relationships.
Located in Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill neighborhood, the practice serves clients throughout Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Prospect Heights, Bed-Stuy, and surrounding communities, with easy access to public transportation. As part of a three-hospital Pure Paws network in NYC, alongside Hudson Square and Hell’s Kitchen, the team benefits from a collaborative and well-connected environment.
Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- Active New York veterinary license in good standing
- 3+ years’ experience in general practice and/or urgent care preferred
- Comfortable working independently in a high-volume setting
- Strong clinical judgment and client communication skills
