Position Overview
Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs that help build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills, as well as general independence, to persons with disabilities or developmental delays. Demonstrates advanced knowledge and practice level competencies and is a recognized clinical or workflow subject matter expert. Responsible for developing key workflows and clinical protocols or guidelines for department. Serves as a resource in the education, training and mentoring of other staff and as a clinical instructor for assigned students. May coordinate staff education and student programs. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.

Other: Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
Certification & Licensure
OT-Occupational Therapist
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
Typical Experience
5 years of recent relevant experience.

Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Key Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to restore daily living skills for patients in an ICU/Acute Care setting. They also serve as a clinical subject matter expert, developing protocols and mentoring staff and students.
Requirements
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited occupational therapy program and hold current OT and BLS certifications. A minimum of 5 years of recent relevant experience is required for this role.
