Job Description
Stamford Health is currently seeking an experienced per diem Surgical Physician Assistant to join our team! This is an immediate need for a Physician Assistant to work in the Surgical Subspecialties at Stamford Hospital. This is a per-diem position requiring clinical work and OR First Assist.
The PA will assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients presenting with a variety of medical and surgical conditions which range from chronic diseases, acute illnesses, and health care maintenance.
Under the direction of or in consultation with a physician, the PA will provide a broad spectrum of general patient care. Patient population includes approximately 95% Urology and Neurosurgery with an occasional Oral and Maxillofacial and ENT patients.
Schedule: 24/7 coverage in-house surgical team - day/night/weekends. Per Diem – Minimum 1 shift per month. Self-scheduling type model.
Key Responsibilities
The Physician Assistant will provide clinical support and OR First Assist services for surgical subspecialties, primarily Urology and Neurosurgery. They will evaluate and treat patients with various medical conditions under the direction of a physician.
Requirements
The role requires an experienced Physician Assistant capable of working in a 24/7 in-house surgical environment. Candidates must be available for at least one shift per month and possess the skills to assist in surgical procedures.
