• Schedule: Part-time — Monday through Friday, afternoon hours or 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and Saturdays

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Goshen Speech & Hearing Center is seeking a part-time Speech Pathologist who will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals with communication difficulties. This is an on-site role located in Goshen, NY.

The candidate will assess, diagnose, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients, actively consulting and collaborating with family members and other medical professionals as needed.

Clinical Fellows will be considered, and part-time positions may have the opportunity to move to a full-time position based on future needs of the medical practice.

Evaluate levels of speech, language, or swallowing difficulty. Identify clients' goals for treatment.

Create and carry out an individualized treatment plan that addresses specific functional needs.

Teach clients how to make sounds, improve their voices, and maintain fluency.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• State licensure and certification in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) — Clinical Fellows will also be considered
• Experience in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in infants, children, and adults
• Experience with a variety of treatment approaches and populations, including pediatric and geriatric
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Positive and professional attitude
• Experience with SOAP notes and use of EMR (support provided)
• Ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
