Position SummaryThe University of New Mexico, Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks faculty members to join the Division of Rheumatology. This is an Open Rank position on the Clinician Educator track. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and education.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine;
Must be Board Certified/Board eligible in Rheumatology within 6 months of date of hire;
Successful completion of a Rheumatology Fellowship Program;
Must be eligible to work in US;
Must be eligible for a medical license in the state of New Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of Clinical Experience/interest in clinical service;
Experience/interest in education;
Evidence of Rheumatology publications;
Demonstration of excellent teaching ability;
Experience or recognition of the Rheumatologic needs of the diverse State of New Mexico and the rural Southwest;
Evidence of experience/interest in research in Rheumatology;
A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
