Join Co-op as a Clinical Pharmacist -Northlands Pharmacy in Medicine Hat, Alberta. South Country Co-op is currently hiring a Pharmacist to join our team at the Northlands Pharmacy location in Medicine Hat, AB. Who we are: Co-op does business differently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist is responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Manager with the overall operations of the Pharmacy department.
  • Obtain, interpret, and evaluate all prescriptions to ensure therapeutic appropriateness, cost-effectiveness, accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with health care professionals in the community to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Supervise Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians.

Requirements

  • Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) from a  recognized institution and are registered with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
  • Preference is given to those with Additional Prescribing Authority (APA) designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • You’re familiar with the Kroll pharmacy system (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Outlook, and Excel).
