Pediatric Hospitalist (PRN) - Physician

Carle Health is seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician to join our team as a PRN Pediatric Hospitalist at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.

Opportunity Details

PRN Pediatric Hospitalist opportunity providing a combination of Pediatric Hospitalist and Level II Nursery coverage

• Schedule consists of two weekends per month, with coverage from Friday evening through Monday morning
• On call requires 20 minute response time
• Competitive compensation of $5,000 per weekend worked, plus travel reimbursement
• Responsible for newborn nursery care and pediatric inpatient consultation/coverage as needed

Procedural experience required, including

• Neonatal intubation
• Umbilical venous and arterial line placement
• Supportive clinical environment with access to subspecialty consultation and transfer services

Established practice at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital, a 25-bed Critical Access DNV-accredited facility serving more than 109,000 residents across eight Southeastern Illinois counties

• Level II Nursery
• 24-hour air and ground transport access to a Level I Trauma Center located within 45 minutes
• Access to X-Ray, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and Bone Densitometry services
• Not-for-profit organization with Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $5,000/weekend. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
