Job Description

Build a practice that matters, with National Health Service Corps loan repayment to help with your student loans!

Position Summary

Southeast Community Health Systems (SCHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 21 sites across five Louisiana parishes. We are hiring a full-time dentist for our Greensburg clinic. You will provide preventive and primary dental care to patients of all ages in a community where access to dental care is limited, as part of an integrated team that includes medical providers, care managers and in-house pharmacy services.

You practice dentistry. SCHS handles the business: no practice overhead, no billing or marketing to manage, and a full care team behind you.

What You Will Do

Examine, diagnose and treat patients, and refer for specialty care, under approved clinical protocols and your professional judgment.

Document every encounter completely and accurately in the dental record.

Educate patients and families on oral health and disease prevention. Work with medical providers and care managers so dental care connects to each patient's whole health.

  • Support training and orientation of clinic staff as requested.
  • Maintain licensure, continuing education and compliance with federal, state, local and SCHS requirements.
  • Perform other duties within your scope as assigned by the Dental Director.

Professional Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited dental school (DDS or DMD)
  • Unrestricted Louisiana dental license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Louisiana CDS and DEA registration
  • EMR experience preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office
