Job description

Department: Pharmacy
The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring proper drug distribution and control;
assessing and ensuring rational and effective drug therapy according to patient
age, weight, and disease state; communicating drug information to physicians,
other health care professionals and patients; maintaining effective and
efficient workflow and supervising ancillary staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Doctor of
Pharmacy degree is preferred. Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program or
equivalent experience is desirable.
Minimum Experience/Skills: 1+ years preferred. Proficient verbal and written
communication skills are mandatory. Active member in professional organization
is high encouraged.
License/Certificates/Credentials
* He/She must possess a valid pharmacist license as provided by the State of
California and must be in good standing.
Physical Demands
* Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking
* Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs of force
* Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
* Manual dexterity and mobility
* Ability to move quickly
Vision Requirements
* He/She must be able to adjust vision sufficiently to perform position
accountabilities.
* He/She must be able to differentiate colors (color coded packaging/tablet
identification).
