Job Description
Position Overview: Oncology Nurse Practitioner
Specialty: Oncology Nurse Practitioner
Contract Duration
Immediate start for 6 months, with the possibility of extension
Work Environment: Outpatient Clinic
Primary Responsibilities
Focus on follow-up care for established patients at 3, 6, and 12-month intervals. Duties include coordinating communications with ancillary services, ordering oncology-related diagnostics, and managing prescription refills. Follow-ups will primarily involve patients currently on treatment (pending candidate qualifications). -
Work Schedule
7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with a 4-day workweek (10-hour shifts). Flexibility in scheduling is preferred.
Call Duties: No call responsibilities associated with this position.
Patient Volume
Anticipated daily patient load of approximately 20, with additional responsibilities in email management and follow-up communications.
Support Team
Nurse Practitioners will be supported by Medical Assistants and Case Managers for comprehensive care coordination.
Electronic Medical Record System: EPIC
Required Certifications
Candidate must be a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner.
Credentialing Timeline: Estimated 45-60 days from submission of application.
Licensing Considerations
Candidates must be eligible for both Oregon and Washington licenses and DEA registration for both states.
