The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is open to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who are employed by accredited sites.

Therapist Pay Range

Continue to grow your career. We offer a career path with ongoing development opportunities. Therapist Levels I through IV positions are established based on your education and experience.   

Salary: Therapist I annual salary is $60-$70K depending on experience. Therapist II-IV salaries are at higher pay grades, and are obtained with more than three years of experience. Additionally, 5% increase to wage calculation for Therapists who are licensed in the State of Oregon.

At KBBH, our therapists do more than provide treatment. They help children and families build stability, resilience, and lasting change. We're seeking a dedicated Intensive Treatment Therapist to provide high-quality clinical services within our Day Treatment and Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Treatment (IIBHT) programs.

This role combines direct therapy, family engagement, care coordination, and treatment planning to support youth with complex behavioral health needs in both clinical and community-based settings. Successful therapists build strong therapeutic relationships, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, maintain high clinical standards, and deliver measurable outcomes for clients and families.

What You'll Do

As an Intensive Treatment Therapist, you will

* Provide individual, family, and group therapy services.
* Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive care that promotes recovery, resilience, and long-term stability.
* Partner with youth, families, schools, and community providers to coordinate care and support successful outcomes.
* Complete assessments, treatment plans, crisis plans, and transition plans.
* Support youth transitioning back to mainstream school settings and lower levels of care.
* Participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
* Utilize evidence-based practices to address complex behavioral and mental health needs.

Performance Expectations

* Clinical Productivity
* Success in this role is measured by meaningful client engagement and service delivery.
* Maintain an average of 20 client contacts per week within a 40-hour work week.

Client contacts may include

* Individual psychotherapy
* Family therapy
* Group therapy
* Assessments and reassessments
* Service plan development and updates
* Case management activities
* Billable telephone services
* Crisis and behavior planning
* School transition planning

Productivity expectations are adjusted appropriately for approved leave and holidays.

Case Management & Care Coordination

* Independently manage an assigned caseload while meeting Day Treatment and IIBHT program needs.
* Guide clients through an individualized episode-of-care process based on clinical need and treatment goals.
* Conduct timely treatment reviews and participate in Child and Family Team meetings.
* Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure coordinated, cost-effective, and clinically appropriate care.
* Contribute to a continuum of care that supports successful transitions and long-term client success.

Documentation & Compliance

* High-quality documentation is essential to client care and program success.

You will

* Maintain complete and compliant clinical records that meet KBBH, state, and federal standards.
* Complete assessments, DSM-5 diagnoses, treatment plans, behavior support plans, crisis plans, and required specialized assessments.
* Develop measurable, individualized treatment goals and service plans.
* Document all clinical services and significant client interactions accurately and on time.
* Complete 90-day reviews and annual updates in partnership with clients and families.
* Close cases and complete discharge documentation within required timelines.
* Resolve documentation and billing errors within two business days of notification.
* Complete service documentation by the end of the shift whenever possible and no later than two business days after service delivery.

Education & Experience: Must meet qualifications for a Mental Health Professional (QMHP) according to MHACBO. org:

* Graduate degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or another behavioral science field
* Must demonstrate competency in mental health assessment, diagnosis (DSM 5), treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention.

Tenure Progression for Therapist Levels I-IV

* Therapist I: Master’s degree completed; QMHP or related licensure (licensed or registered toward licensure)
* Therapist II: Master’s degree; QMHP or related licensure; minimum 3 years therapist experience
* Therapist III: Master’s degree; QMHP or related licensure; minimum 7 years therapist experience
* Therapist IV: Master’s degree; QMHP or related licensure; minimum 10 years therapist experience

Licensure/Certification Requirements

* Oregon driver’s license and insurable driving record
* Maintain MHACBO QMHP C certification if not currently licensed or in active licensure pursuit
* Personal automobile insurance required for transporting clients or conducting agency business
* This position may be subject to background checks in accordance with state or federal requirements
