Job Description

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) – Outpatient Pediatrics

Pediatrica is seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our growing outpatient pediatric team. This role offers the opportunity to practice high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive, physician-led environment.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric evaluations, including medical history and physical exams
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests
  • Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Educate patients and families on health, prevention, and treatment plans
  • Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active Texas ARNP license or ability to obtain
  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) certification required
  • FNPs with significant pediatric experience may be considered
  • At least 1 year of pediatric clinical experience
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Strong EHR and computer skills
