Job description

This role is for one of our clients
Compensation: $200 per hour
We're seeking an experienced physician with expertise in Ulcerative Colitis (UC) to support a specialised healthcare market research project. This role focuses on translating a structured research brief into a high-quality physician survey designed to generate meaningful insights into the treatment and management of Ulcerative Colitis. The ideal expert combines strong clinical knowledge of UC with prior experience developing surveys, questionnaires, or discussion guides for healthcare or pharmaceutical market research.
Key Responsibilities
Review a provided research brief outlining target cohorts, research objectives, screening criteria, and key areas of investigation.
Develop a complete physician-facing Ulcerative Colitis survey from the research brief.
Translate research objectives into clear, clinically accurate, unbiased, and appropriately structured survey questions.
Incorporate provided cohort definitions and screening criteria into the overall survey flow.
Design relevant questions covering areas such as patient segmentation, disease severity, treatment pathways, therapy selection, treatment switching, clinical decision-making, and unmet needs.
Structure appropriate response options, scales, follow-up questions, skip logic, and other survey elements where required.
Follow provided survey-writing guidelines and existing templates closely to ensure the final deliverable matches the required format and style.
Review the completed survey for clinical accuracy, logical flow, clarity, neutrality, and completeness before submission.
You’re a Strong Fit If You Have
An MD/DO or equivalent medical degree, ideally with a background in gastroenterology or another field involving direct management of Ulcerative Colitis.
Strong familiarity with the Ulcerative Colitis treatment landscape, including disease assessment, treatment sequencing, biologics, targeted therapies, remission, and real-world physician decision-making.
Prior experience writing healthcare or pharmaceutical market research surveys, questionnaires, discussion guides, or similar research instruments.
Experience working with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare market research firms, medical affairs teams, life sciences consulting firms, or healthcare insights organisations is strongly preferred.
Ability to translate broad research objectives into precise, answerable survey questions and appropriate response options.
Strong understanding of survey design principles, including neutral wording, question sequencing, response scales, screening logic, and avoidance of bias.
Ability to work from established examples and adhere closely to detailed survey-writing guidelines and output requirements.
Excellent written communication, clinical judgment, and attention to detail.
Project Inputs
The expert will receive:
A detailed research brief containing key cohort information, proposed filter questions, and research areas.
A predefined cohort and screener section outlining participant inclusion criteria.
Example completed survey templates demonstrating the expected structure, formatting, level of detail, and writing style.
Expected Deliverable
A fully drafted Ulcerative Colitis physician survey document, following the structure and quality standards demonstrated in the provided templates.
The survey should be ready for review and subsequent implementation with minimal additional drafting required.
