Position Overview
As a COTA you will be collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you'll participate in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, ensuring each
patient receives the highest standard of care. This position offers a friendly work environment where your contributions will be valued, and your professional growth will be encouraged. Responsibilities
* Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
* Support patients in exercises and activities that improve their daily living skills.
* Monitor and document patient progress and report to the occupational therapist.
* Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and at-home exercises.
* Maintain and organize therapy equipment and treatment areas.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and strategies for improvement.
* Provide encouragement and motivation to patients during therapies.
Requirements
* Must be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with current licensure.
* Associate's degree from an accredited COTA program required.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Compassionate attitude toward patients and their families.
* Basic knowledge of medical terminology and occupational therapy practices.
* Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
