he University of Washington Medical Center – Northwest – Radiology - Breast Imaging Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Specialist Mammography Imaging Technologist.
WORK SCHEDULE
Part-Time / 20 Hours Per Week
Day Shift
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Perform screening mammography and both routine and complex diagnostic imaging accurately, independently, and efficiently
This includes advanced or complex exams and breast ultrasound
Assist the radiologist with Ultrasound biopsies and Mammography and Ultrasound Guided localization procedures
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

  • Advanced imaging and diagnostic services in North Seattle
  • Radiology at UWMC-Northwest is equipped with the advanced diagnostic imaging technology available. Our board-certified radiologists have specialty training in cardiac imaging, neuroimaging, musculoskeletal, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and body and breast imaging. Along with our team of expert imaging technologists, they are committed to diagnosing illnesses and injuries quickly and effectively so treatment can begin.
  • We take time and attention with each patient to explain procedures, so they’ll know what to expect every step of the way.
  • Radiology Services at UW Medical Center - Northwest offers routine radiology, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology.

Key Responsibilities

Perform screening and complex diagnostic breast imaging, including ultrasound and guided localization procedures. Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment while maintaining accurate patient records in EPIC and PACS.

Requirements

Requires ARRT registration and Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist, specifically as a Mammography Technologist. BLS CPR training and completion of formal technology training from an AMA approved school are required.
