This role involves reviewing patient medication orders for safety and appropriateness, making evidence-based interventions to optimize therapy, and ensuring accurate and cost-effective dispensing of medications. The pharmacist also provides patient counseling, promotes medication education and adherence, and supervises support personnel as required.
Candidates must possess a minimum Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution and hold a license to practice pharmacy in the state of practice, including dispensing controlled substances. Experience in Retail Pharmacy is highly desired, while Specialty Pharmacy experience is considered beneficial.
