These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, in accordance with the mission, values and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center.  Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and guests.

Position Summary 
The 340B Pharmacist Manager is responsible for the operational, clinical, and compliance oversight of Insight’s 340B Drug Pricing Program across all participating covered entities, including IHMC Chicago, IHMC Coldwater, and any additional health-system covered entities. This role ensures full program integrity, regulatory compliance, optimization of 340B savings, and alignment with Insight’s pharmacy strategy and enterprise goals. 

Key Responsibilities 
340B Program Oversight & Operations 
* Manage day-to-day 340B program operations for IHMC Chicago, IHMC Coldwater, and other designated covered entities. 
* Oversee mixed-use areas, accumulation, replenishment, and virtual inventory processes. 
* Ensure accurate patient and provider eligibility determination, encounter data integrity, and proper use of 340B versus GPO/WAC purchasing accounts. 
* Monitor and optimize split-billing software performance, contract pharmacy arrangements (if applicable), and internal pharmacy 340B utilization. 
* Collaborate with pharmacy, finance, revenue cycle, and IT teams to maximize compliant 340B savings while protecting program integrity. 
* Support onboarding of new covered entities and standardization of 340B processes across the health system. 

Compliance & Regulatory Management 
* Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and ensure adherence to HRSA 340B program requirements, including OPAIS registration, recertification, and change requests. 
* Develop, implement, and continuously update 340B policies, procedures, and internal controls. 
* Conduct routine self-audits, gap analyses, and readiness assessments; coordinate external audits and respond to manufacturer or HRSA inquiries. 
* Monitor legislative, regulatory, and manufacturer policy changes affecting the 340B program and recommend operational adjustments. 
* Serve as the primary subject-matter expert on 340B compliance for pharmacy leadership and covered-entity stakeholders. 
* Ensure documentation and audit trails are complete, current, and inspection-ready at all times. 

Data, Reporting & Financial Performance 
* Generate and analyze 340B utilization, savings, and compliance reports for leadership. 
* Identify opportunities to expand compliant 340B capture and improve program efficiency. 
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting related to 340B operations. 
* Track key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 

Leadership & Collaboration 
* Provide guidance and education to pharmacy staff, providers, and administrative teams on 340B requirements and best practices. 
* Partner with the Chief Pharmacy Officer and other pharmacy leaders on strategic initiatives involving 340B program growth and system-wide standardization. 
* Participate in relevant committees, workgroups, and external professional activities related to 340B. 

Qualifications 

Required 
* Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy. 
* Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in at least one relevant state (Illinois and/or Michigan preferred; multi-state licensure strongly preferred). 
* Minimum 3–5 years of progressive pharmacy experience with significant 340B program management responsibility in a hospital or health-system setting. 
* Demonstrated expertise in HRSA 340B rules, OPAIS, mixed-use inventory, split-billing platforms, and compliance auditing. 
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. 
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to educate and influence across clinical and administrative teams. 

Preferred 
* Prior experience supporting multiple covered entities or multi-hospital systems. 
* Experience with 340B software platforms commonly used in health systems (e. g., Wellpartner, Sentry, 340B Architect, or equivalent). 
* Knowledge of related regulations (Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, DSCSA, state pharmacy laws). 
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience. 
* Completion of formal 340B training or certification programs (e. g., Apexus, NACHC, or equivalent).

Work Environment 
This position supports multiple covered entities and may require travel between IHMC Chicago, IHMC Coldwater, and other Insight-affiliated sites. Hybrid work arrangements may be available based on operational needs. The role requires availability for audit response, regulatory deadlines, and leadership meetings.
