We are seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist for a Part-time (1 day a week) position at Putnamville Correctional Facility in Greencastle, Indiana. The Behavioral Health Specialist (Indiana) (Pre-Licensed) is responsible using recreational and social activities to foster skill building and problem solving as well as accomplish treatment objectives. The Behavioral Health Specialist works as a part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team supporting the patients to enhance their skill sets to reinforce social, adaptive, and independent living skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related social sciences field required
- Specific training in recreational therapy preferred
- National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) preferred
- Correctional environment experience preferred
