Nurse Practitioner- OB Hospitalist

Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) employed by VHC Health Physicians (“Physician Group”) is required to complete a NP Agreement with their Collaborating Physician(s). This NP Agreement will describe the NP’s role and function, NP/Physician Relationship, Functions of the NP, Privileges/Procedures, Prescriptive Authority, Documentation Responsibilities and Evaluation process. Overall, the NP will support objectives, budget, performance metrics and medical activities at an Individual level including implementation of quality control standards, risk management and compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner will support medical activities, performance metrics, and quality control standards as an OB Hospitalist. They are responsible for maintaining a collaborating physician agreement and managing patient care within the physician group.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's in Nursing and be licensed as both an APRN and RN by the Virginia Department of Health Professions. Two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
