Key Responsibilities
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' conditions.
- Identify normal and abnormal findings in history, physical examination, and commonly performed laboratory studies.
- Prescribe medication in accordance with the West Virginia statute and professional practice guidelines.
Requirements
- Able to lift 100 pounds, if necessary, to assist fallen patients. Able to lift 10 pounds for routine performance of essential functions.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment. Education/Training/Experience:
- Medical degree in medicine from an accredited school and licensed to practice in West Virginia.
