Key Responsibilities
- Serves as Assistant Chief Medical Officer of the hospital.
- Provides assistance to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) with oversight of leadership, direction, management, and supervision of the activities of the Medical Staff.
- Responsible for providing leadership, management and direction to the Medical Affairs Department in the absence of the (CMO).
- Provides guidance to the Medical Staff including the planning, implementing, and monitoring of psychiatric services.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice by the Virginia Board of Medicine
- Virginia Controlled Substance Registration (Board of Pharmacy)
- DEA Registration.
- Graduation from an approved/accredited medical school with a Doctor of Medicine degree and completion of psychiatry residency training program from an accredited program.
