Key Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health Specialist provides direct therapeutic contact to patients by leading specific groups addressing core psychological vulnerabilities and offers individual supportive contact focusing on coping strategies and risk assessment. This role also involves maintaining unit safety through visual rounds, managing the milieu, assisting with patient care needs, and completing accurate documentation of interventions.

Requirements

Candidates must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and demonstrate relevant work experience in a behavioral health or similar setting, proving competency in all essential job functions. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and six months of relevant experience are preferred qualifications.
